JKBOPEE Opens Applications for B.E./B.Tech Admissions 2025

Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination (JKBOPEE) is inviting online applications for admission in B.E./B.Tech. Engineering Courses, session 2025 in the Government/ Private Engineering Colleges/Institutions of UT of J&K. The online application portal for admission to engineering courses is now live on jkbopee.gov.in.

Introduction:

Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination commonly known as JKBOPEE is the official government organization responsible for conducting entrance exams for various professional courses in UT of Jammu & Kashmir and UT of Ladakh. The board is established under the J&K BOPEE Act, 2002, and manages admissions to engineering, medical, and other professional courses in government and private institutions. The board maintains a transparency and ensures merit-based selection process, following the latest reservation policies and regulations.

JKBOPEE B.E./B.Tech Admissions 2025: Intro

The online applications are now open for the eligible and desirous candidates for
appearing in the Common Entrance Test for admission to B.E./B.Tech. Engineering Courses –
2025 in the Govt./Pvt. Colleges/Institutions of UT of J&K for the academic session 2025. The online application portal for appearing CET will remain open from March 5th 2025 to March 19th 2025. The exam date for Common Entrance Examination will be announced soon.

JKBOPEE B.E./B.Tech Admissions 2025: CET

Common Entrance Test (CET) will be conducted by JKBOPEE in Jammu and Kashmir centers for admission in various Government and Private Engineering colleges in B.E./B.Tech. courses. CET consists of Single Paper with three sections comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with 180 questions (60 questions from each section) with time duration of 03.00 hours.

The questions shall be multiple choice objective types with one mark each. There will be 0.25 negative marks for each wrong answer. The syllabus for CET is available on official website of JKBOPEE.

Exam Mode & Centers:

• The entrance test will be conducted offline.
• The Entrance Test shall be held at the centers as may be specified by the Board in the cities of Srinagar and Jammu only.

Important Dates:

The application for common entrance test are now open on JKBOPEE website. The online application portal was opened on 5th of March 2025. And the last date to submission of online application form is 19th of March 2025. The application fee will be Fee ₹1000/- (Rupees one thousand only) which can be paid online through National Credit Card/Debit Card /Net Banking.

JKBOPEE B.E./B.Tech Admissions 2025: Eligibility

1. Educational Qualification:
   • Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
   • Minimum Marks:
     • Open Merit & EWS: 45%
     • Reserved Categories (SC/ST/OBC/RBA, etc.): 40%
2. Domicile Requirement:
   • Applicants must be domiciles of J&K or Ladakh.
3. Appearing Candidates:
   • Students appearing in Class 12th exam in 2025 can also apply, but they must submit proof of qualification before the selection list is issued.

1. Domicile Certificate (J&K or Ladakh)
2. 10+2 Marks Sheet (or equivalent)
3. Date of Birth Certificate (Matriculation Certificate)
4. Category Certificate (if applicable, e.g., SC/ST/OBC/EWS/RBA)
5. Valid ID Proof (Aadhaar Card, Passport, etc.)
6. Sports Certificate (for sports quota candidates, to be submitted to J&K Sports Council)
7. PwD Certificate (for physically disabled candidates, issued by a competent authority)

Note: Candidates appearing for 10+2 exams in 2025 must submit their marks sheet before the issuance of the Provisional Selection List. Ensure all documents are clear and valid to avoid rejection.
