The Home Department has referred 4022 new vacancies of Constables in J&K Police, to Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB), as a reaffirmation of government’s commitment towards strengthening the law enforcement agencies and ensuring the safety and security of people of the region.

- 6) Constable Executive Police in the divisional cadre- 1689
- 1249 posts for Jammu
- 440 posts for Kashmir.
