University of Kashmir has announced admissions in B.Tech/B.E courses under lateral entry system. The University released official notification regarding the admissions in Bachelor of Technology/ Bachelor of Engineering under Lateral Entry in 3rd semester for academic session 2025.
As per official notification issued by Kashmir University, on-Line applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to B.Tech/B.E. Programme through Lateral Entry to 3rd Semester for the session-2025.
Courses & Campuses Offered:
The Kashmir University offers B.Tech./ B.E admissions in multiple campuses of University. Except Computer Science Engineering all courses are offered in Zakura Campus of University which is located at Zakura, Hazratbal, Srinagar. Lateral Entry admissions in Computer Science Engineering is given at North Campus, Baramulla
1. Zakura Campus, Hazratbal, Srinagar:
- Civil Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics & Communication Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
2. North Campus, Baramulla:
- Computer Science Engineering
Kashmir University B.Tech/B.E Lateral Entry: Eligibility Criteria
- The candidates must have passed 3-year Diploma in any branch with at least 50% marks from Jammu and Kashmir Board of Technical Education or from a recognized University/Board
- or
- B.Sc. graduates with Mathematics as one of the subjects and a minimum of 50% in aggregate marks.
However, the candidates applying under any reserved category shall have obtained at least 45% marks in 3-Year Diploma programme.
Furthermore, Candidates appearing in the final year can also apply provisionally, provided they meet eligibility conditions by July 29, 2025.
Important Dates:
The online application portal for admission in B.Tech/B.E courses at Kashmir University will start from 4th of July 2025 and will close on 14th of July 2025. Candidates must note, no extension will be granted beyond the last date.

- Enter your Registration No. (JKBOSE/CBSE), fill out the form, and upload your recent photo.
- Select your preferred campus (Note: Preferences cannot be changed after submission).
- Deposit the application fee of ₹900 (₹400 application + ₹500 entrance test + ₹150 IT fee) via online mode only.
- Ensure your form status shows “Fee Received” within 2 days after submission.
