Srinagar, Dec 23 (JKT): Students across Kashmir are facing disruption to their studies due to non-availability of class 9 textbooks prescribed by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE).
“Though the new academic year is on track, these essential materials remain sold out in local markets and bookstores,” parents said. With neither JKBOSE stalls nor private bookstores stocking the required books, families are struggling to support their children’s education, they said.
The situation has put immense pressure on students, especially class 9 students, affecting their ability to keep up with classes and likely widening the existing educational gap.
Parents urged the authorities to immediately address the issue. They called on the Ministry of Education and JKBOSE to ensure that textbooks are provided without any delay. (JKT — JK Tweet)
